Our athletics program teaches the lifelong benefits of sports and fitness for physical and mental well-being. We promote self-discipline and responsibility, and the value of sustained effort. We believe in teamwork, good sportsmanship, and a competitive spirit that build school pride and unity.
In addition, our robust PHYS-ED program (JK – Grade 8), we offer a wide variety of intramural sports, interscholastic team sports, and participation in community programs such as the Terry Fox Run and Jump Rope for Heart. Grades 3-8 students can also sign-up for “Kinderfit” (Kindergarten) or “FitKids” (Grades 1-2) in the second term.
Varsity Teams
Students in Grades 6-8 can try out for varsity team sports including volleyball, basketball and co-ed soccer. Our teams compete in the Waterloo Regional Catholic School Board inter-school leagues and invitational tournaments. Our Cyclones girls’ volleyball team has been a top regional finisher for several years.
Elite Athletes
We recognize that students pursuing a goal in high-performance sports have specific training and schedule requirements that require flexibility. We welcome elite athletes and ensure they receive the personalized attention and support they need to succeed academically.
