KWBS Grade 8 students recently participated in the regional Fryer Math Contest. Did we mention that this test is a Grade 9 test for local high schools? Yes…high schools! This math contest is facilitated by the University of Waterloo for students across Canada. It’s 75 minutes in length and consists of four challenging problems that require full written solutions. We came in 3rd after Sir John A. MacDonald (high school) and Waterloo Collegiate Institute (high school). 11 of our 16 participating students will receive Gold Level recognition for their achievement.
