We firmly believe that parents deserve to know as much as possible about their child’s education. So, we offer multiple points of contact with parents to share our vision:
- Curriculum Night
This occurs every September. Teachers present a year-in-advance look at our curriculum to parents and open the floor to questions. - Parent-Teacher Interviews
Interviews are held at the end of each term and are one-on-one opportunities to discuss individual student growth. - Agendas
Students in Grades 1 to 8 receive an agenda at the beginning of the school year to help them manage their time and to communicate expectations to parents. On a daily basis, parents must sign all tests, assignment rubrics, and the agenda. - Ongoing, flexible communication
Keeping the communication lines open between home and school is extremely important. So, no matter how parents prefer to communicate—email, telephone, Google Meet – the school is flexible and accommodating. The Cyclone Gazette, our school newsletter, is shared each term with our families. Teachers send out Curriculum Letters to parents at the start of each term, clearly outlining their programs. Some teachers also have monthly calendars or weekly news updates.
