Heritage Day

Heritage Day is a spectacular event that includes the whole school. We run this event every five years. The day is spent doing activities from the early 1900's. All staff and children are welcome to dress in costumes from long ago from either early Ontario or from their own native culture. Children from kindergarten to grade eight travel in cross-grade groupings and experience activities such as candle making, doll making, old fashioned school house, square dancing, an evening visit with friends, etc. This helps to raise awareness of how much our lives have changed in the last 100 years.
